Security Research Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain internal tools for the acquisition and processing of recaptured underground data.

• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for testing and deploying tools and infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with the research team to assist in targeting and gathering new data sources.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancements and automation within recaptured data workflows and ETL pipelines.

• Engage in security research, including the investigation of threat actors, malware, and other pivotal research that aligns with SpyCloud’s objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional software development experience, ideally within the cybersecurity sector.

• Expertise in Python programming.

• Proven experience in developing internal tools and deploying them with Infrastructure as Code technologies, such as Terraform and Ansible.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Math, Science, Engineering, or Business disciplines.

• Proficiency in Golang is advantageous.

• Experience collaborating with large enterprises to deliver security analytics solutions.

• Familiarity with acquiring and processing malware-exfiltrated data.

• Background in utilizing data science to analyze datasets for identifying fraud or cyber threats.

• Competence with relational or NoSQL databases and the design of efficient database architectures.

• Self-motivated with the capability to identify and execute tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong critical thinking skills and comfortable engaging in collaborative problem-solving within a team setting.
