This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a multi-quarter strategy for detecting and enforcing advertiser fraud.
• Focus on addressing significant risks such as account takeovers, payment and billing fraud, cloaking, misleading advertisements, and network misuse.
• Undertake in-depth investigations into intricate, multi-entity fraud systems and advanced adversarial methods.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and map cluster infrastructure to mitigate recurring abuses.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to convert investigative insights into detection algorithms, risk assessments, and automated enforcement workflows.
• Act as the primary expert on Safety matters for the Ads Product, Ads Engineering, and Policy teams.
• Distill complex adversarial dynamics into strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Create, document, and standardize operational playbooks, escalation processes, quality assurance standards, and feedback mechanisms.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in threat intelligence, ad tech safety, trust & safety investigations, or platform integrity, with an emphasis on ad fraud, financial crime, account takeovers, or spam abuse.
• Proven ability to operate in uncertain environments and establish threat response frameworks from the ground up.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python or R, and experience with big data environments.
• Capability to independently query datasets at a petabyte scale and create adversarial network graphs.
• Experience utilizing AI/LLMs as investigative assistants.
• Background in collaborating with machine learning teams to implement LLM-based detection classifiers.
• Extensive knowledge of digital advertising ecosystems, ad serving infrastructures, and specific fraud archetypes related to advertising.
• Understanding of global advertising compliance, privacy laws, and regulatory reporting standards is preferred.
