Onboarding Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the intake, assessment, and prompt resolution of onboarding and inbound KYC/KYB inquiries from both institutional and individual clients.

• Analyze entity documentation, which includes formation papers, ownership and control frameworks, and ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) details for businesses, funds, and other legal entities.

• Gather and authenticate identity documentation while conducting customer due diligence (CDD) for individual applicants.

• Execute PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening, and carry out enhanced due diligence (EDD) as necessary.

• Assess client risk profiles, identify when documentation fails to meet standards, and escalate high-risk cases to the Compliance Manager.

• Support periodic client reviews, reporting, regulatory submissions, and various compliance initiatives as needed.

• Act as a point of contact for client CIP inquiries and collaborate with the Compliance Manager to improve workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in KYC/KYB, AML, compliance, or client onboarding within a fintech, payments, crypto, or financial services setting.

• Solid understanding of global AML/CTF regulations, FATF standards, and CIP best practices applicable to both institutional entities and individuals, with the ability to implement them effectively.

• Familiarity with onboarding/AML platforms, identity verification technologies, and screening databases.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, even under high volumes and tight deadlines, along with the capability to manage sensitive client information.

• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams, combined with sound judgment on when to resolve issues versus escalate them.

• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
