Staff Technical Program Manager – Devices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate technical programs that encompass web, mobile, medical devices, embedded software, firmware, and data platforms.

• Spearhead the complete program execution process from initiation to launch.

• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Design, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.

• Manage technical dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies across multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Facilitate technical discussions regarding architecture, systems integration, scalability, and design trade-offs.

• Ensure program execution aligns with technical roadmaps and the evolution of platforms.

• Create program dashboards, status reports, KPIs, and executive communications.

• Utilize Lean, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and continuous improvement methodologies effectively.

• Harness AI-driven tools and automation to enhance reporting, risk identification, dashboards, and operational efficiency.

• Establish and monitor success metrics for programs.

• Foster stakeholder communication, influence decision-making, and address any blockers.

• Conduct post-launch evaluations and apply lessons learned.

• Mentor junior Technical Program Managers.

• Influence organizational processes and operating models while serving as a thought leader in Technical Program Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in Technical Program Management.

• Background in healthcare technology, health and life sciences, medical devices, or other regulated sectors.

• Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs that yield measurable business results.

• Familiarity with hardware, firmware, embedded software, systems integration, or cloud-based software platforms.

• Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle, AWS, Azure, or GCP, APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, system integration, and security principles.

• Proficient in using program management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, or similar.

• Capability to identify, manage, and mitigate program risks while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

• Experience utilizing AI and automation tools to enhance program management, reporting, and operational efficiency.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Preferred: Experience in hardware, firmware, and regulated medical device development programs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with PDLC methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience with iOS and/or Android platforms.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AI/ML, responsible AI, model governance, and compliance.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.

• Preferred: Certifications in Lean, Agile, or Scrum.

• Preferred: Experience mentoring Technical Program Managers and leading TPM best-practice initiatives.

• Preferred: Expertise in enterprise systems architecture and large-scale platform integrations.
