
Staff Technical Product Manager – Connected Vehicle Services, Tools

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a portfolio of platform services along with the administrative tools necessary for their operation, configuration, and support.
• Establish the interfaces and functionalities that other digital product teams depend on, ensuring that internal teams managing these systems have the tools they need to operate confidently and at scale.
• Navigate both internal and external dependencies to reduce risk and confirm the feasibility of the roadmap.
• Take ownership of the roadmap and strategy for multiple interconnected service areas, as well as a variety of supporting internal tools which encompass:
• Charging Management: Manage the services that facilitate the connected vehicle charging experience, including session management, smart charging, network interoperability, and plug-and-charge capabilities.
• Subscriptions: Lead the product strategy for backend services and third-party integrations that underpin customer subscription offerings.
• App-to-Vehicle Commands: Develop the product strategy for services that enhance the customer ownership experience and empower operations teams through remote vehicle monitoring and commands via mobile and web platforms.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with a diverse range of business, technical, and non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally. Influence architectural and integration decisions without direct authority.
• Over 7 years of product management experience, with relevant exposure to connected vehicle services, IoT platforms, or similar fields.
• A background in developing SaaS operations tools and services intended for scalability is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated history of delivering technical products that cater to both end-customer experiences and internal operational users, with the ability to navigate products at various maturity levels.
• Familiarity with contemporary connected vehicle and backend service concepts, including:
• Vehicle-to-cloud architectures and wireless command patterns.
• Over-the-air updates and remote function delivery concepts.
• Plug-and-charge standards and EV charging network interoperability.
• API and SDK design principles for services utilized by multiple internal teams.
• Integration patterns with third-party providers, including charging networks and payment platforms.
• Operational aspects for services that manage customer and payment data responsibly.
• While you do not need to be an engineer, you should possess enough fluency in these areas to make informed architectural trade-offs, challenge technical decisions when necessary, and gain the trust of senior engineers.
