Staff Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Perform assessments of suppliers and conduct on-site audits to review quality systems.

• Collaborate with engineers during the hardware product development lifecycle.

• Facilitate supplier qualification processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Oversee supplier quality planning through various production stages.

• Manage requests for corrective actions from suppliers and lead investigative efforts.

• Create and maintain supplier scorecards and KPIs with a focus on quality metrics.

• Examine manufacturing and field quality data to detect trends.

• Work alongside suppliers to establish effective inspection and control strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Background in developing, qualifying, and managing suppliers in the electronics manufacturing sector.

• Experience in quality engineering within consumer electronics, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or related fields.

• Knowledge of PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics and engineering documentation.

• Skilled in using quality tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.

• Familiarity with component qualification and failure analysis methodologies.
