This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the technical discovery process, design architectural solutions, and implement proofs of concept during the pre-sales phase.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to create persuasive technical value propositions.
• Provide impactful demonstrations, workshops, and proposals customized for C-level executives and technical audiences.
• Build trust and credibility with clients by identifying technical champions and establishing yourself as a strategic advisor.
• Act as a liaison between clients and internal Product and Engineering teams to communicate feedback and influence the product roadmap.
• Spearhead cross-regional technical initiatives and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability.
• Mentor junior team members, promote technical excellence, and disseminate industry best practices within the SE team.
• Maintain expert-level understanding of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Manage responses to RFPs and oversee technical environments to facilitate enterprise sales efforts.
• Convert complex client requirements into scalable, sustainable, and technically viable solutions.
• Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and customer interactions, with travel as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Over 12 years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role that involves customer interaction.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, with expertise in at least one (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proven track record in leading and documenting proofs of concept and in developing technical and deal champions.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, and HIPAA.
• Significant experience and expertise in areas including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud architecture, or DevOps.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a history of providing thought leadership to the broader industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
