This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Your role will involve the development of new integrations, maintaining relationships with existing partners, and enhancing reliability across our platform.
• Create new LMS/LXP integrations.
• Execute integrations with platforms such as Cornerstone OnDemand, Docebo, Oracle Learning, and others as outlined in the roadmap.
• Operate within our current Integration framework (Ruby on Rails), adhering to established patterns for catalog creation and completion tracking.
• Manage partner-specific authentication processes, utilizing OAuth2, SAML2 assertion-based OAuth, and SFTP to interact with partner API endpoints.
• New partners will present their own unique requirements.
• Convert partner API documentation into effective catalog uploads and xAPI completion tracking implementations.
• Sustain and enhance existing integrations.
• Maintain integrations with Workday CCL, SAP SuccessFactors, Skillsoft Percipio, Seertech, and Degreed.
• Troubleshoot completion tracking issues, catalog synchronization failures, and authentication nuances across various partners.
• Enhance retry logic, error management, and observability within the existing framework.
• Ensure data precision and dependability.
• Confirm that catalog payloads (courses, learning paths, lessons, curations) comply with partner API specifications and encompass necessary metadata fields.
• Uphold accuracy in completion tracking through xAPI statements on course, lesson, and learning path events.
• Implement caching strategies that prevent duplicate completion submissions.
• Demonstrable experience in integrating with enterprise LMS or LXP platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Oracle Learning, Degreed, Percipio, or similar systems.
• Proficient communication skills to interact with customers and vendors courteously, clearly, and in a manner suitable for their technical understanding.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby, as you will be navigating and extending an existing Rails codebase independently.
• Extensive knowledge of OAuth2 and REST API patterns, including authentication workflows like SAML 2.0 assertion exchange.
• Practical understanding of xAPI (Experience API / Tin Can) for learning record statements.
• Familiarity with SFTP-based file exchanges and CSV generation, as our Degreed integration operates on a legacy batch file architecture.
• Ability to independently read third-party API documentation and implement solutions.
• Experience with background job patterns (e.g., GoodJob) and retry/backoff strategies.
• Experience with the Cornerstone OnDemand or Oracle Learning API is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of content packaging standards (SCORM, xAPI/cmi5) beyond just completion tracking is a plus.
