This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the technical architect for the "grid-to-GPU" power train specifically for hyperscalers (AI training, AI inference, general purpose cloud) and colocation (AI-centric and general tenancy models).
• Possess extensive knowledge regarding the industry's transition to 800V DC architectures.
• Function as GEV's primary technical authority in customer interactions for all AI training campus and hyperscale data center opportunities.
• Develop and take ownership of GEV's "Campus Power Reference Architectures" — having experience in creating and documenting single-line diagrams and power system designs applicable to each data center archetype using GEV products.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with engineering teams at hyperscaler data centers — thoroughly documenting power requirements, site constraints, and the competitive install base.
• Create technical proposals and conduct power system studies (load flow, fault analysis, arc-flash) in support of RFP responses.
• Collaborate with the NPI/PM team to validate new product designs against actual customer power systems (system design, sizing, and integration).
• Facilitate internal technical training sessions for the COE BD team and BU sales (at least quarterly) on Data Center power architecture.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, both locally and internationally.
• Must have personally designed, peer-reviewed, and/or operated/maintained electrical systems for at least one hyperscale AI training campus (≥500MW).
• Experience required in: AC/DC (especially 800VDC) power train and distribution architecture; MV/LV switchgear and distribution architectures and equipment; MV/LV UPS, solid-state transformers; Battery Energy Storage Systems; Source/load Power Quality issues and their resolutions; System TCO / design trade-offs.
