Staff Software Engineer – Zero Trust Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality and reliability of our OpenBlue Airwall product suite.

• Spearhead the creation of new methods for monitoring data health from edge to cloud.

• Direct architectural choices and technical strategies across various products and platforms.

• Assist in resolving intricate networking challenges as they arise.

• Work collaboratively with product, design, and engineering teams to define and implement scalable solutions.

• Serve as a technical mentor for engineers at all levels of expertise.

• Assess and suggest tools, technologies, and processes to maintain engineering excellence.

• Contribute to significant codebases and establish standards for code quality, testing, and performance.

• Represent the engineering team in executive discussions and aid in shaping the long-term strategic roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in designing and scaling distributed systems or complex software architectures.

• Proficiency in C++ and/or Rust, along with a strong understanding of the networking stack.

• Familiarity with AI-native development, including the judicious use of tools such as Claude, Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in your workflow.

• Background in networking, including VPN, Secure Remote Access, and IAM identity management.
