This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop products, platforms, and services within the Raspberry Pi Foundation, aiming to create enriching learning experiences.
• Collaboratively produce high-quality software that delivers measurable results.
• Write clean and secure code, adhering to a test-driven development methodology.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Engineering Managers to enhance processes and improve code quality across our offerings.
• Assist in planning product development through technical analysis and assessment of architectural requirements.
• Proven experience as a professional Software Engineer with an emphasis on web technologies; or relevant experience in another field while seeking to transition into Software Engineering through the completion of a degree, bootcamp, or similar program.
• A proactive, practical, and supportive demeanor, along with a willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with a high-level programming language such as Ruby, JavaScript, or Python, as well as a database system (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• A product-oriented mindset and the capability to understand the broader context.
• Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written), with a collaborative approach to functioning effectively as a part of a cross-disciplinary team.
• A keen interest in education, particularly in areas related to computer science, physical computing, and digital creation.
• Experience in managing infrastructure on platforms like Heroku, Cloudflare, and AWS.
