Director, Software Engineering

📋 Description

• Convert enterprise and product strategies into defined engineering priorities, roadmaps, and deliverables.

• Work closely with Product and Architecture teams to provide scalable, customer-focused solutions.

• Champion the adoption of contemporary engineering practices and technologies to enhance speed, quality, and reliability.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards, processes, and metrics to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.

• Enhance team performance through data-informed insights, continuous improvement, and effective resource management.

• Encourage cross-functional collaboration to guarantee seamless execution across Technology, Product, and business partners.

• Ensure operational rigor within global teams, facilitating effective delivery across different time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, including more than 5 years in leadership roles.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of technologies relevant to our stack (e.g., Ruby on Rails, C#, Angular, JavaScript, AWS, and various caching and persistence technologies).

• Proven experience in leading distributed teams and delivering complex, scalable systems.

• Demonstrated capability to drive the execution of technical projects and facilitate organizational change.

• Solid understanding of cloud utilization and the total cost of technology ownership.

• A proven history of modernizing legacy applications and optimizing performance.
