Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Full-Stack Feature Development: Create and sustain responsive, high-fidelity web applications utilizing React and TypeScript, supported by core services developed in Spring Boot.

• Backend & Distributed Systems: Design and implement backend services that handle sensitive healthcare data, utilizing message queues and streaming platforms (SQS, Kafka, Kinesis) for processing high-volume asynchronous tasks.

• Complex Data Implementation: Develop and execute the technical logic and schemas that drive the platform, converting intricate domain requirements into organized, scalable configurations both on the frontend and backend.

• LLM Integration: Design and enhance LLM pipelines, which include prompt engineering, usage tracking, and quality assurance to confirm the validity of structured AI outputs.

• Reliability & Observability: Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), as well as data reliability strategies like redundancy, retries, and graceful failure management.

• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices utilizing Spring Security, establish RBAC, and support HIPAA compliance for clinical data.

• Platform Reliability: Actively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and support issues across the stack to guarantee a smooth experience for clinicians.

• Foundational Decisions: Make informed technical choices and create internal tools and workflows that will scale as we expand from ten clinics to ten thousand.

• Collaboration: Partner directly with founders and clinical teams to translate healthcare requirements into scalable technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience developing production applications.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript, with practical experience in building interfaces using React.

• Experience in managing complex application states and data flows on the frontend.

• Familiarity with contemporary CSS frameworks (such as Tailwind) and responsive design principles.

• Solid backend experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework for creating production-grade services.

• Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs as well as integrating frontend and backend systems.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and message queues/streaming platforms (SQS, Kafka, or Kinesis).

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (including EC2, ECS/EKS, and auto-scaling).

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
