This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the technical vision for the Time Off domain by shaping architectural decisions and aligning with overarching business and engineering objectives.
• Partner with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to create scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud-native solutions.
• Design and implement well-architected, modular systems.
• Propel technical strategy and best practices across various teams and departments.
• Architect solutions that balance immediate requirements with long-term considerations.
• Advocate for high-impact technical initiatives that enhance business value.
• Take ownership of and deliver large-scale project features with exceptional reliability and performance.
• Delegate tasks effectively and cultivate team capabilities.
• Prioritize and manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
• Identify and address technical risks and challenges.
• Uphold standards for code quality, performance, and observability.
• Lead code review sessions and technical design discussions.
• Detect and rectify quality issues in the code produced by team members.
• Promote automation and advocate for process enhancements.
• Mentor and guide team members across all experience levels.
• Foster continuous improvement within the team through knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with engineers across different teams and departments.
• Cultivate an inclusive culture that encourages open dialogue and collaboration.
• Achieve alignment and develop consensus on technical strategies.
• Resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrated success in leading significant technical projects.
• Profound knowledge of distributed systems and scalability patterns.
• Strong foundation in software architecture and system design.
• Experience with performance optimization and observability.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Familiarity with C#, Java, or a similar modern object-oriented programming language.
• Solid understanding of software development principles.
• Experience working with agile development methodologies.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours per day.
• Capability to operate computers and phone systems, type, and use multiple software applications simultaneously.
