Staff Software Engineer, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as the engineering lead for a project alongside a Product Manager, designer, and fellow engineers.

• Analyze issues, determine technical strategies, guide AI agents, deploy to production, and take responsibility for results.

• Define the architecture, data models, integrations, rollout strategy, observability, and rollback plans.

• Document technical choices, seek architectural review for significant decisions, and reassess choices based on data insights.

• Establish prompts, guardrails, evaluations, tests, and review processes for ensuring safe, accurate, and production-ready code authored by agents.

• Collaborate daily with the Product Manager on scope and trade-offs, and work with the designer on UX choices and in-tool prototyping.

• Engage consistently with engineering colleagues and have weekly check-ins with the Engineering Manager.

• Take ownership of initiative metrics and present post-launch results 2–4 weeks following the launch.

• Ensure correctness in production, along with security, performance, observability, and experiences for both customers and professionals.

• Deliver 3–4 initiatives from start to finish within the first year while developing reusable agent workflows, evaluations, runbooks, and post-launch assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Daily production experience utilizing Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI coding agents.

• Genuine insights and experience with prompts, evaluations, agent loops, and review processes.

• Experience operating at a leadership level, making technical decisions, delivering challenging projects, and taking ownership of outcomes.

• Outcome-focused mindset emphasizing metrics and customer experience.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering colleagues.

• Capability to make and document decisions regarding architecture, data modeling, and rollout strategies.

• Proficiency in creating reusable agent workflows, evaluations, runbooks, and post-launch reviews.

• Customer- and professional-oriented approach.

• Strong expertise in at least one of the specified technology stacks.

• Credible hands-on experience with AI coding agents.

• Familiarity with AI agents and related tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, internal agent stack, MCP servers, and evaluation tools.

• Relevant experience with PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/React/React Native, Redshift, dbt, Segment, Airflow, AWS, Datadog, Sentry, GitHub Actions, Brain, Confluence, or Jira concerning the technology stacks.
