This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Design and implement LLM-driven systems that analyze clinical documentation on a large scale and deliver real-time feedback to providers.
β’ Create ML/LLM systems that identify inappropriate billing practices, over-utilization, and subpar care in relation to claims and appointments.
β’ Convert risk signals into actionable feedback for providers and transparent reporting for insurance partners.
β’ Develop systems to evaluate prescribers against clinical quality benchmarks.
β’ Create ML systems that identify patient needs and connect them with appropriate providers.
β’ Construct AI evaluation frameworks, optimization cycles, and observability mechanisms to ensure the reliability and safety of LLM features in the healthcare sector.
β’ Set the technical standards for the Payers & Outcomes engineering team.
β’ Lay the architectural groundwork for other teams.
β’ Guide engineers and enhance engineering practices and efficiency.
β’ Formulate solutions for undefined issues, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver software.
β’ Engage in technical decision-making, design discussions, and code evaluations.
β’ Comprehensive product engineering experience encompassing API architecture, backend logic, frontend state management, and user experience design.
β’ Proven track record of transforming ambiguous challenges into successfully shipped software.
β’ Capability to make sustainable, scalable technical choices.
β’ Expertise in enhancing engineering efficiency through tools, automation, and reusable templates.
β’ Experience in mentoring engineers during design discussions and code assessments.
β’ Ability to deliver quickly and iterate based on user insights.
β’ Quick adaptability to complex healthcare payer, regulatory, and clinical environments.
β’ Passion for enhancing access to mental healthcare.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Background in applying LLMs to practical workflows, code generation, operational automation, or developer tools.
β’ Commitment to responsibly deploying AI in the healthcare industry.
β’ Proficiency in TypeScript and Python 3.
β’ Familiarity with technologies such as React, Remix, Next.js, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, Redis, Snowflake, AWS, Temporal, Kafka, Datadog, Sentry, PagerDuty, Cursor, Claude, Gemini, and Eddy.
