This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Act as a proactive technical leader for Solstice, establishing technical direction and engineering standards.
• Facilitate architectural discussions and make technical decisions for frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
• Design and develop production-ready full stack applications utilizing React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Create event-driven architectures employing AWS services, Kafka, and contemporary data pipelines.
• Develop responsive document-management workflows, REST and GraphQL APIs, content enrichment, and search functionalities.
• Incorporate AI-driven services and cutting-edge technologies.
• Design robust systems while enhancing performance, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance.
• Implement logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and telemetry systems.
• Oversee intricate technical projects from inception to deployment and continuous evolution.
• Produce technical documentation including architectural diagrams, system designs, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Platform Services, and engineering leadership teams.
• Guide engineers and promote knowledge sharing through code reviews, design discussions, and documentation.
• Investigate emerging technologies through proof-of-concept initiatives to enhance customer experience and engineering efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience in delivering production-quality applications at scale.
• More than 3 years of providing technical leadership and shaping engineering direction and practices.
• Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong backend development skills in C#/.NET or Java, along with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Proficient in designing and managing event-driven, service-oriented, and microservices architectures.
• Experience in building distributed, cloud-native systems utilizing AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and S3.
• Familiarity with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB or DocumentDB, as well as relational SQL databases.
• Significant experience in designing REST and GraphQL APIs, including API security and versioning methodologies.
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming and messaging technologies.
• Proven experience in implementing logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and telemetry for production environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD practices, and supporting production applications.
