This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design and implement systems while coding to bring EvolutionIQ's AI-native offerings to CCC's auto casualty sector.
• Analyze intricate and occasionally disorganized legacy systems; determine what should be rebuilt, replaced, or retained; and actively manage that process.
• Develop backend architectures capable of sustaining production environments, transitioning between rapid prototypes and durable, long-term systems, with AI and agentic tools integral to your workflow.
• Establish engineering standards (best practices, design documentation, code evaluations, and consistency) in close collaboration with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams.
• Over 8 years of engineering experience, demonstrating a history of managing features from start to finish: collaborating with Product, defining scopes, designing data models, implementing solutions, and maintaining the systems over time.
• Proficient hands-on coder in our technology stack: primarily Python, with TypeScript / JavaScript utilized on the front end.
• Extensive architectural experience with existing systems, not just new projects: assessing, modernizing, and replatforming, including multi-tenant, multi-user backends and robust relational database design.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools, with examples of real projects you have successfully delivered more quickly as a result.
• Capable of asking insightful questions to grasp a customer's business challenges and linking your technical contributions to tangible business outcomes.
• A clear communicator with the emotional intelligence necessary to build trust across teams as we integrate EvolutionIQ's initiatives into CCC's auto casualty organization.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with short & long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D, and 401k matching.
• Additional benefits for family, wellness, and pets.
• Paid time off, sick leave, and 100% paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers).
• Flexible schedules for new parents returning to work.
• Catered lunches, happy hours, pet-friendly environments, and a monthly technology stipend.
• $1,000 annually for each employee for professional development, including opportunities for tuition reimbursement.
• We are open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who require a transfer of their active visa.
