Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate dependable cloud infrastructure services that support Webflow products.

• Spearhead projects aimed at minimizing triage workload, enhancing reliability, and accommodating customer growth.

• Utilize Pulumi, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools.

• Achieve a balance of reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness while modernizing current services.

• Work in collaboration with product engineering teams to introduce new services and improve workflows.

• Engage in design discussions and review code.

• Take part in and progressively enhance on-call and incident response procedures.

• Boost engineering efficiency and safety through standardized protocols, automation, and cloud best practices.

• Guide and instruct junior engineers.

• Provide constructive feedback to teams on tool and software design solutions.

• Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting distributed systems in a customer-facing context with minimal downtime.

• Practical experience in constructing and scaling multi-region cloud environments on AWS or GCP.

• Proficient in using Cloudflare Workers and related Cloudflare tools.

• Familiarity with container-centric architectures utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Mesos.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.

• Knowledge of agentic development methodologies.

• Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring or coaching junior engineers.

• Understanding of full-stack applications, services, and tools developed in TypeScript, Node, or Go.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Strong track record of results and impact on delivered projects.

• Proactive engagement with AI and emerging technologies.

• Valid work authorization based on the country of employment.

• A successful background check may be necessary.
