Junior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure operations within AWS.

• Support tasks related to network infrastructure, including subnetting, routing, DNS, and DHCP.

• Aid in the deployment and maintenance of virtual machines and cloud services.

• Contribute to the development of infrastructure-as-code utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Assist in the monitoring and logging of infrastructure systems.

• Help maintain documentation regarding infrastructure architecture and processes.

• Support automation and scripting efforts to enhance operational workflows.

• Participate in troubleshooting incidents and resolving operational issues.

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and architects to enhance infrastructure, support deployments, and assist with automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• This is an entry-level position.

• Foundational knowledge of Linux systems administration is required.

• A basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, DNS, and routing.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is preferred.

• An interest in automation and infrastructure engineering is essential.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn are necessary.

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is beneficial.

• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.

• Experience with Git or other version control systems is advantageous.

• Relevant coursework or projects in cloud computing or systems engineering are valuable.

• A basic understanding of monitoring or logging tools is required.

• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages are necessary.

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
