Staff Software Engineer, IDM Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Create and build scalable, both single-tenant and multi-tenant, advanced Java-based identity management solutions.

• Collaborate effectively with a distributed team, consisting of members located in the Portland, OR metro area, Canada, and Europe.

• Assess and refine requirements in conjunction with product management and architects to enhance the identity platform and introduce new features for PingIDM.

• Independently plan, estimate, and manage development tasks efficiently according to business objectives.

• Facilitate successful cloud deployments.

• Work closely with customer-facing support teams to address and resolve customer issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and developing large scale applications using the Java programming language.

• Strong knowledge of HTTP and RESTful web services.

• Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Experience utilizing AI agents such as Claude Code for planning, validating, and implementing functionalities.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to learn quickly and autonomously, with the ability to gather information and comprehend complex features and environments.

• Experience with identity management technologies and protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate & key management, cryptography, etc.).
