Staff Software Engineer, Hardware Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement services that automate operations for a large server fleet

• Develop internal platforms and tools for extensive data center infrastructure

• Collaborate with data center operations and hardware engineering to gather requirements

• Take charge of the design, development, deployment, and ongoing reliability of systems

• Oversee large-scale projects that involve multiple stakeholders

• Direct your own work and guide the efforts of junior colleagues

• Contribute to system architecture and design

• Engage in hiring processes and interviews

• Share expertise and mentor fellow team members

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python or Golang, or the willingness to quickly adapt to these languages

• Capability to write dependable code and analyze complex issues

• Keen interest in participating in DevOps methodologies

• Solid grasp of modern server architecture and its components (additional bonus)

• Good understanding of computer networks (additional bonus)

• Experience in designing, developing, and managing high-load distributed systems (additional bonus)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms or infrastructure-level systems (additional bonus)

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, or service meshes (additional bonus)

• Background in performance optimization or low-latency systems (additional bonus)

• Understanding of observability tools including metrics, logging, and tracing (additional bonus)

• Ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders

• Skill in breaking down complex tasks and guiding both your work and that of junior colleagues

• Expertise in specific technologies with the ability to produce high-quality reference code
