Staff Software Engineer – Full-Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and develop scalable cloud-based systems on AWS that serve as the foundation for core collectibles platforms and user experiences.

• Design APIs and backend services that facilitate seamless customer journeys for web and mobile platforms involving buying, selling, authentication, and grading.

• Take ownership of the technical architecture and the delivery of comprehensive features, overseeing everything from design to deployment.

• Engage with complex grading and authentication workflows that ensure trust, accuracy, and consistency at scale.

• Enhance and advance existing systems by identifying opportunities to boost performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Utilize modern AI tools to expedite development, increase engineering efficiency, and discover innovative building methods.

• Offer technical leadership through design and code reviews, as well as mentorship, to elevate engineering standards across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience in building web applications, APIs, and large-scale distributed systems.

• Background in product-oriented, technology-driven companies that develop service-oriented or microservice-based architectures.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, including serverless and event-driven systems.

• Proficient in using modern AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork, Codex) as integral components of your development processes.

• Solid foundation in engineering principles (OOP, design patterns, testing, security, observability).

• Extensive expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language, along with the capability and willingness to work with others such as Python, C#, or Java.

• Familiarity with contemporary client-side frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and delivering engaging consumer-facing digital experiences.

• Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, cross-functional product teams alongside Product, Design, TPM, and Business collaborators.
