Staff Software Engineer – Cloud and AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and take responsibility for essential services by actively developing robust, scalable, and production-ready systems.

• Lead significant architectural decisions while balancing rapid development with sound engineering for availability between 3 and 4 nines.

• Engage across the entire stack, from distributed cloud infrastructure to AI-driven functionalities such as retrieval, memory, and agent orchestration.

• Partner with leadership and product teams to swiftly turn ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes.

• Mentor engineers, foster engineering culture, and influence development practices as the organization scales.

• Contribute to Readyset's engineering strategy and overarching vision.

• Design and manage infrastructure for production-grade, responsive, reliable, and cost-effective AI systems at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, preferably with a background in databases, data platforms, or large-scale systems.

• Proven track record in designing and operating cloud services at scale with high availability (3–4 nines).

• Experience with AI/ML systems or integrating LLMs into production, including retrieval pipelines, memory systems, or agent frameworks.

• Proficient backend development experience in languages such as Python, Golang, Java, Rust, etc.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS.

• Demonstrated technical leadership, including influencing architecture, guiding design, and steering teams through complex challenges.

• Ability to operate quickly without sacrificing sound engineering principles.

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks is advantageous.

• Experience with GCP or Azure is a plus.
