This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Create and enhance software while optimizing the efficiency of existing code.
• Develop unit tests and verify software compliance with acceptance criteria.
• Advance application design and architecture using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
• Create, implement, and promote coding, documentation, and testing standards.
• Perform impact analysis across various applications.
• Understand the business process domain and align technology with business operations.
• Test concepts, validate assumptions, and propose solutions.
• Facilitate code reviews and communicate changes within the application.
• Document code and projects to ensure maintainability and support.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend effective solutions across applications.
• Review, write, and analyze design documents.
• Contribute to sprint goals and Agile methodologies.
• Lead continuous learning initiatives to enhance design, code quality, and domain expertise.
• Engage in talent selection processes.
• Mentor junior software engineers.
• Provide technical guidance, architectural decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners to deliver scalable solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience or comparable depth of expertise.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience with Genesys Cloud.
• 5 years of recent experience with Java.
• Experience in providing technical direction across multiple applications.
• Strong knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with SDLC, including Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies.
• Practical knowledge in data modeling, design, and messaging.
• Experience with mission-critical, enterprise-level applications.
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation.
• Advanced understanding of IDEs is preferred.
• Familiarity with JSON, REST/SOAP web services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket is preferred.
• Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and request/response modifications.
• Desirable experience with REST API documentation using Swagger or similar tools.
• Proficiency in using DDL for creating database objects and relationships, constructing advanced queries, and optimizing query performance.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to various audiences, including senior leadership.
• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.
