This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• In-Depth Kubernetes Exploration: Collaborate closely with the internals of Kubernetes to expand the capabilities of container orchestration.

• Go Development Expertise: Craft high-performance, resilient Go code that powers the foundational logic of the vCluster platform.

• Comprehensive Ownership: Assume complete responsibility for your projects. You are self-motivated and can oversee feature development from technical design to deployment without the need for constant supervision.

• Open Source Contributions: Actively participate in the community and contribute to our open-source initiatives. You will help shape the next generation of tenancy models, developing scalable solutions for isolation and resource sharing beyond basic namespaces.

• Complex Problem Solving: Address challenging engineering issues where solutions aren’t readily available, necessitating a profound understanding of systems architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Kubernetes Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes internals. We appreciate a deep comprehension of how Kubernetes operates (architectural patterns, networking, storage).

• Strong Technical Skills: Proficient programming capabilities in Go. While knowledge of Kubernetes is crucial, you must be able to convert that expertise into clean, efficient Go code.

• Creator Mindset: You engage in building projects outside of your professional work. Having active GitHub projects, experiments, or contributions to open-source showcases your enthusiasm for creation.

• High Agency: You possess strong technical skills and are self-directed. You excel in environments that expect you to identify issues and resolve them independently.

• Experience in Start-Up Environments: Familiarity with high-growth settings. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and are eager to make a significant impact.

• Additional Considerations: Community Contributions: A track record of contributions to the Kubernetes project (Upstream), including documentation enhancements, Pull Requests (PRs), or active involvement in Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

• Early-Stage Startup Experience: You have worked in a nascent organization where you operated autonomously and aimed to build something exceptional.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive Salary: We provide a competitive compensation package, which includes equity.

• Comprehensive Insurance: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options, including plans for you and your eligible dependents (benefits may vary by country).

• Flexible Work Schedule: Have a doctor’s appointment or need to run errands in the afternoon? We prioritize results over strict schedules, so that won’t be a problem.

• Workplace Flexibility: We offer great flexibility regarding your work location. We understand that life circumstances can change, and we are willing to adapt your work environment accordingly.
