Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Oversee the architectural design and the long-term technical strategy, transitioning outdated systems into a contemporary, distributed microservices framework that accommodates global scaling.

• Set a standard by utilizing AI coding assistants to automate repetitive tasks, create comprehensive test suites, and execute rapid prototyping.

• Promote technical excellence across diverse teams, making pivotal architectural choices that balance swift feature development with top-tier reliability and security.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to convert intricate global telecommunications regulations and customer requirements into user-friendly, developer-centric APIs and application processes.

• Guide and elevate senior and staff engineers. Cultivate a culture centered on technical curiosity, ownership, and ongoing education.

• Detect and address technical risks at an early stage, from scalability issues to security threats, and steer the team through complex production challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in designing and developing highly available, large-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems.

• Expert-level proficiency in Java or Go, with extensive knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).

• Architectural Expertise: Significant experience with cloud-native infrastructure (preferably AWS), microservices patterns, and designing systems with 'five-nines' (99.999%) resilience.

• AI-Driven Workflow: Proven experience employing AI tools to markedly enhance software delivery speed.

• API Proficiency: A history of constructing and managing high-volume public-facing APIs with a focus on outstanding developer experience.

• Data Expertise: Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage technologies (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark).

• Infrastructure as Code: Skilled in Kubernetes, Terraform, and contemporary CI/CD methodologies.

• Leadership: Demonstrated capability to influence technical direction across various teams and organizational boundaries without direct authority.
