Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product, clinical, and cross-functional teams to transform vision into delivered products.

• Take ownership of architecture and technical direction from start to finish for new member- and care team-facing experiences.

• Utilize extensive technical judgment across various languages, frameworks, and systems, leveraging modern engineering and AI-assisted tools to rapidly build context, assess trade-offs, and steer delivery.

• Establish quality standards: ensure clean, well-tested, and scalable code that others can build upon.

• Lead and expand the team—mentor engineers, eliminate ambiguity, and ensure swift delivery.

• Define the technical direction for 6–12 months and identify high-value work before it appears on the roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 10 years of experience in writing clear, tested, and efficient code.

• A polyglot builder mentality: proficient in at least one of our modern backend languages while being able to navigate across the stack to optimize for delivering the right solutions.

• Proficiency in Ruby or Python.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Expertise in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of LLMs and GenAI best practices.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI-assisted development workflows to swiftly transition from ambiguity to delivered, resilient product experiences.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.

• Comprehension of DevOps concepts and principles.

• Eagerness to learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies for personal growth.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
