Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality code for intricate scenarios with comprehensive test coverage.

• Analyze and convert product requirements into resilient designs for high-caliber distributed application systems.

• Oversee design and code evaluations for various applications.

• Manage multiple sprint teams within the same product domain to implement new or enhanced features.

• Resolve obstacles to delivering high-quality solutions for items in the product backlog.

• Work alongside other teams and stakeholders to guarantee the successful delivery of the intended functionality.

• Guide and mentor engineers across multiple teams by providing technical expertise.

• Partner with product managers to assess effort, prioritize tasks, plan, and deliver roadmap objectives.

• Propel the technical strategy and vision across several teams.

• Advocate for operational excellence and adhere to engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 3 years of practical experience leading multi-team engineering initiatives in distributed application systems.

• Proficient in one or more widely-used programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Familiar with relational databases, NoSQL, and caching solutions.

• Skilled in REST and gRPC APIs.

• Experience with message queuing, data streaming, workflow, and integration frameworks.

• Knowledgeable in microservices architecture.

• Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Familiar with DevSecOps practices.

• Experience in designing and implementing modular, configurable, secure, scalable, and maintainable distributed application systems.

• Ability to leverage analytics data and experimentation to enhance system speed, scalability, and effectiveness.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, influence, and leadership.

• Proven experience in mentoring and offering technical guidance to several teams.

• Demonstrated capability in promoting operational excellence, quality, performance, scalability, maintainability, and observability.

• Experienced in driving technical strategy and vision for multiple teams.
