Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical architecture and strategic vision of the software platform.

• Create and sustain scalable production software and backend services.

• Set engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices for the development team.

• Direct architectural choices and ensure technical coherence across various projects.

• Design systems that are secure and compliant with HIPAA, emphasizing patient privacy and data security.

• Develop frameworks and tools that facilitate safe, AI-enhanced software development.

• Work in collaboration with engineering, product, and leadership teams to produce high-quality software.

• Employ AI tools to enhance development efficiency while upholding software quality.

• Consistently enhance system performance, scalability, and engineering methodologies.

• Assist in establishing the technical foundation that underpins the company's long-term expansion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding English communication abilities, both written and verbal (minimum C1 level).

• A positive and enthusiastic mindset, keen to collaborate and tackle challenges.

• Significant experience in developing production software using backend technologies such as Python, Go, or Rust.

• Strong preference for candidates with full-stack development experience, particularly in React and TypeScript.

• Proven track record in designing, constructing, and maintaining large-scale production systems.

• Experience in developing healthcare software with HIPAA-compliant architecture and secure handling of PHI.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and providing technical leadership.

• Experience in creating AI-assisted engineering workflows or implementing AI-driven development practices.

• Comfortable using AI tools while ensuring strong engineering judgment and code quality.

• Self-motivated individual with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exhibits ownership, accountability, precision, and the capability to excel in a dynamic startup environment.
