Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of product initiatives across the web console, APIs, CLI, GitHub integrations, billing and usage, permissions, documentation, and internal tools.

• Transform vague customer challenges into well-defined product and technical strategies, guiding them through design, implementation, launch, and evaluation.

• Enhance developer-focused workflows for continuous integration, container builds, caching, registries, runners, setup, logs, errors, and integrations.

• Craft APIs and data models that are coherent, comprehensible, and designed for safe evolution.

• Troubleshoot production issues across services, databases, AWS infrastructure, integrations, and customer environments.

• Elevate the engineering standards through design documentation, code reviews, mentorship, and composed technical leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of hands-on production engineering experience or equivalent expertise in product, platform, infrastructure, or developer tools.

• Proven track record of managing significant projects from inception to production.

• Strong technical expertise in backend, full-stack, platform, infrastructure, or developer-tooling systems.

• Exceptional debugging skills across application code, APIs, databases, background jobs, cloud infrastructure, observability, and third-party integrations.

• Developer empathy to create clear APIs, intuitive command-line interfaces, valuable documentation, actionable error messages, and efficient workflows that are reliable and fast.

• High emotional intelligence: communicate effectively, manage disagreements constructively, and assist a remote team in making informed decisions.

• Direct experience with TypeScript, Go, React, protobuf/gRPC-style APIs, MySQL/PlanetScale, ClickHouse, AWS, and OpenTelemetry is an advantage.
