Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Outline the significant architectural decisions that have influenced our current system, providing a clear understanding of where complexity resides and where investments can yield the most impact.

• Deliver your initial production contribution and cement your role as a technical authority within the team.

• Identify at least one technical challenge that spans multiple teams, bringing it to light and suggesting a viable solution.

• Position yourself as a product-focused technical leader by gaining insights into our users, product strategy, and business objectives, and by participating early in decisions that determine our development direction.

• Collaborate across various functions, including manufacturing, quality, sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure successful product launches.

• Facilitate your first technical forum or architectural discussion, fostering consensus among teams.

• Develop and initiate a specific plan aimed at reducing complexity in a designated area.

• Cultivate strong working relationships with cross-functional technical collaborators.

• Have driven at least one architectural decision that currently influences the team's development practices.

• Have tangibly simplified an aspect—be it a system, process, or pattern—that was previously causing friction.

• Serve as the primary technical thought leader for complex, interdisciplinary engineering decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with extensive expertise in TypeScript across the full stack (Node.js + React or equivalent).

• Proven history of delivering significant backend infrastructure, intricate libraries, or large-scale frontend systems.

• Capability to design and effectively communicate the architecture, trade-offs, and scalability limitations of complex systems to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in leading cross-functional technical alignment: you’ve advanced entire systems, not just produced excellent code.

• Demonstrated ability to reduce complexity on a large scale—making what others have complicated more straightforward.

• Strategically employs AI tools to enhance design, review, and delivery processes.
