Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Establish the technical vision, roadmap, and priorities for the squad in collaboration with engineering leadership.

• Create the comprehensive automation platform for package creation, test generation, and image building.

• Take ownership of scalable technical decisions.

• Develop LLM-integrated, agentic pipelines for generating manifests, scaffolding tests, and conducting validations.

• Design prompt architectures, evaluation loops, and quality control gates.

• Construct production-grade Go CLI tools, services, and integrations.

• Create test generators, validation frameworks, and quality control gates.

• Provide mentorship to less experienced team members and enhance engineering quality.

• Collaborate effectively with distributed teammates across various time zones, including the US, Canada, EU, and India.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience in designing and building complex systems.

• Strong expertise in Go programming.

• Experience with AI/LLM integration for code generation, automation, or developer tools.

• Familiarity with agentic workflows is a significant advantage.

• Capability to design loosely-coupled, scalable systems while making pragmatic trade-offs.

• Proven experience in building developer tools, CLIs, or automation platforms.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux and build systems.

• Familiarity with package managers like apk, apt, and rpm.

• Experience with build tools such as Make, Bazel, and language-specific toolchains.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies.

• Expertise in Docker, OCI, container registries, and Kubernetes.

• Ability to influence the roadmap and set priorities.

• Proficient in writing clear technical documentation, working autonomously, and collaborating across teams and time zones.

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
