Staff Software Engineer – Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop agentic LLM pipelines that enhance AI functionalities throughout the product.

• Create full-stack product features, including Python/FastAPI web applications and TypeScript or React web tools.

• Engage in prompt engineering and refine LLM prompts and models. Assess and suggest enhancements based on accuracy, latency, and cost.

• Fortify our evaluation framework through curated datasets, evaluations, experiments, and regression detection, enabling confident deployment of changes.

• Enhance production observability by implementing accuracy signals and feedback mechanisms.

• Contribute to the technical architecture and strategic direction.

• Collaborate closely with other product teams to grasp their AI use cases and determine optimal methods to empower and assist them.

• Provide guidance on the applicability of AI/LLM solutions, advocating for AI when it enhances speed and ROI while advising against it when it does not.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Background in a startup, incubator, or similarly fast-paced 0-to-1 environment where you take ownership of features from start to finish and set your own course.

• Extensive experience in full-stack web application development using Python.

• Proven experience in deploying reliable agentic LLM workflows to production using any orchestration framework (such as LangGraph, LangChain, etc.).

• Experience in evaluating and testing LLM workflows, including evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, regressions, and observability.

• Knowledgeable in prompt engineering and the lifecycle of prompt iteration.

• Proficient with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) for efficient workflow.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of fostering alignment proactively.

• Must be a resident of the U.S.
