AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Manager of Data Science & AI Engineering to define and execute AI-driven product features and internal tools.

• Create and implement machine learning and generative AI solutions utilizing cloud platforms like AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and Amazon Q in QuickSight.

• Embed AI services into web and application layers, such as through REST APIs, LangChain, or Bedrock SDK.

• Develop proof-of-concept projects for natural language querying, document summarization, forecasting, and enhancing user experiences with AI.

• Handle structured and unstructured data stored in AWS RDS, SQL Server, and other data repositories.

• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams using tools like Power BI, QuickSight, and Python-based data pipelines.

• Ensure responsible AI design through model monitoring, bias testing, and performance validation.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI technologies, including LLMs, vector databases, RAG architectures, and MLOps best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as an AI Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer.

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI.

• Excellent proficiency in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, LangChain, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).

• Familiarity with the AWS AI/ML ecosystem, including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and Step Functions.

• Experience in integrating LLMs and prompt engineering (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Amazon Titan, etc.).

• Proficient in SQL and data modeling with AWS RDS or SQL Server.

• Comfortable working with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Amazon QuickSight (with Q).

• Understanding of MLOps concepts such as versioning, CI/CD, and monitoring.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering.

• Experience in translating domain business challenges into building deep neural networks for predictive insights.

• Ability to devise and execute a training validation strategy.

• Strong problem-solving aptitude, product-oriented mindset, and capacity to convert ambiguous business requirements into actionable AI solutions.
