Staff Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a product team consisting of 6–10 members, including engineers, UX designers, and a product manager.

• Develop high-quality, user-friendly products for clients and stakeholders.

• Provide education to both business and technology teams regarding the development process.

• Create products from the discovery and framing stages through to iterative development and delivery.

• Uphold a user-centered and business-priority focus in design perspective and practice.

• Engage collaboratively as a contributor within an Agile team.

• Spearhead the design of effective and user-friendly software products that address business requirements.

• Write frontend and backend code utilizing test-driven development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in enterprise solution delivery within a large-scale distributed software design environment, ideally in a J2EE development setting.

• More than 7 years of Java development experience with Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC.

• At least 4 years of frontend development experience with Angular 8 or higher.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies, including continuous integration (CI/CD) and test-driven development (TDD).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Proven leadership experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.

• For each year of college education not completed, 1 year of professional work experience is required, in addition to the required years of experience.
