Staff Security Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Enhance the security framework through effective security operations and advanced threat detection.

• Oversee security incident management, including triage and investigations.

• Create innovative solutions to address existing threats and proactively avert future attacks.

• Design, implement, and refine detection mechanisms to recognize advanced threats.

• Collaborate closely with teams in Product Security, IT, and Legal.

• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Security Engineering and Operations under the CISO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient knowledge and experience with contemporary security principles such as SIEM, security data lakes, detection as code, EDR, zero trust networking, and other security tools.

• Proven experience in incident response and management.

• Strong comprehension of prevalent attack frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK).

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols like SAML, OpenID, OAuth2, and SCIM.

• Experience in scripting or coding in at least one of the following languages: Python, NodeJS, Ruby, Bash.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, possessing strong analytical skills, self-driven, and capable of working across various functions.
