Security Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle for security detection and response within the SOC.

• Design and manage SIEM detection rules effectively.

• Triage daily alerts from the SIEM system.

• Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks.

• Oversee the complete vulnerability triage process.

• Review and authorize changes to IAM policies.

• Perform checks on infrastructure security controls.

• Deliver metrics on SOC and cloud posture for reporting purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in security operations, cloud security, or infrastructure security engineering.

• Practical experience with AWS security.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and EKS security.

• Experience in SIEM operations.

• Background in vulnerability management.

• Understanding of IaC security principles.

• Strong incident response capabilities.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

• Ability to independently author and fine-tune detection rules.

• Professional certifications such as AWS Security Specialty are highly regarded.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash.

• Experience with SOAR or workflow automation tools.

• Knowledge of security considerations related to cryptocurrency or blockchain.

• Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
