Security Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess, investigate, and address security alerts across endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and network telemetry.

• Adopt a builder’s mindset by automating repetitive processes and leveraging AI to enhance speed, scalability, and effectiveness.

• Implement containment and remediation measures for confirmed incidents, while adhering to and continuously refining established runbooks.

• Optimize and maintain SIEM and EDR detections to minimize false positives, improve signal quality, and address coverage gaps.

• Utilize threat intelligence, including IOCs and TTPs, in active investigations and ongoing monitoring efforts.

• Engage in the on-call rotation and provide clear, actionable documentation following incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in security operations, detection and response, or a related security engineering position.

• Proven experience in investigating and responding to security threats across endpoints, cloud environments, and network telemetry.

• Strong analytical judgment with a calm, systematic approach to triaging alerts and managing incident resolution.

• Practical experience with SIEM and EDR platforms, including the tuning of detections to enhance signal quality and decrease false positives.

• Embrace a builder mindset by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, including using AI for improved speed and scale.

• Confident in applying threat intelligence, such as IOCs and TTPs, to investigations and proactive monitoring activities.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and capable of documenting incidents clearly and effectively to facilitate continuous improvement.
