Staff Search Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Participate in back-end development to fulfill our product's evolving requirements, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

• Engage in all phases of the product lifecycle, from initial conception to deployment, refinement, and scaling.

• Design, implement, and manage ElasticSearch environments, ensuring alignment with the product’s performance and scalability standards.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other team members to gain a deep understanding of user needs and business goals.

• Maintain high standards in software development, emphasizing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• Actively participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and the ongoing enhancement of our development processes.

• Promote a culture of ownership where team members feel empowered and accountable for their contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10+ years of software development experience with a solid foundation in computer science.

• 3+ years of recent experience with ElasticSearch or a similar technology.

• Ability to design and work with complex systems and high-load services.

• Extensive knowledge of ElasticSearch and familiarity with AWS infrastructure.

• Proven expertise in Golang development or a strong willingness to learn and adapt.

• Strong grounding in computing theory, including object-oriented programming principles, database theory (RDBMS, NoSQL), and network interactions.

• Experience with REST API development, web application frameworks, testing frameworks, and version control systems (GIT).

• Proficiency in Python, PHP, or JavaScript (Node.js), Java, particularly in developing scalable, high-load services.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Agile development methodologies.

• Effective communication skills in English for collaboration in an international team setting.
