Staff Product Manager, Fleet Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of product strategy, roadmap, and results for ChargePoint's fleet software platforms, including ViriCiti and new solutions for truck fleets and autonomous vehicle operators.

• Identify gaps in customer experience, prioritize enhancements, and advance existing platforms for both current and future fleet operators.

• Define and develop new software products focused on commercial truck charging management and autonomous vehicle fleet operations.

• Convert customer needs, market trends, and business priorities into product requirements, user stories, and success metrics.

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality software.

• Partner with sales, marketing, customer success, and data science teams on market opportunities, go-to-market strategies, and user adoption.

• Engage directly with fleet customers and prospects to comprehend workflows, identify pain points, and assess software requirements.

• Communicate the product vision, progress, and trade-offs to stakeholders ranging from engineering teams to executive leadership.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Data and Product Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on software products—preferably within fleet management, telematics, mobility, energy management, or related SaaS platforms.

• Proven ability to manage and enhance existing software platforms while also defining new products from inception.

• Experience with fleet operators, commercial vehicle customers, or logistics firms is preferred.

• Strong technical proficiency, including knowledge of software architecture, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Ability to translate qualitative customer insights and quantitative data into prioritized product decisions.

• Capability to work effectively as an individual contributor within a matrixed organization.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical and commercial concepts into clear, structured narratives.

• Must be based in North America.
