
Staff Product Manager, Cloud Namespace & Capacity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the entire Cloud Namespace lifecycle, which includes understanding workloads, managing provisioning and management processes, setting configuration defaults and policies, implementing updates-in-place, and ensuring safe deletion.
• Develop and refine unique Namespace offerings encompassing SLA, latency, durability, residency, and various cost options.
• Manage throughput and capacity for Namespaces, addressing autoscaling, TRUs, reserved versus elastic capacity, scheduling, visibility, limits, and quotas.
• Lead the establishment of operational policies and features for Namespace placement, replication, and scaling at a large multi-tenant scale.
• Define and oversee Namespace SLOs and SLAs, which includes instrumentation and effective communication of performance and reliability to customers.
• Manage Namespace APIs and configurations utilized by customer automation, the Temporal Cloud UI, and other related products and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Engineering, Cloud Ops/SRE, Support, Sales, Solutions, and Security.
• Create PRDs, decision documents, and customer-facing explanations.
• Experience in product leadership with a focus on shipping and operating platform/infrastructure products where reliability, performance, and cost trade-offs are critical.
• Strong systems thinking ability and skill in translating workload requirements into tiering, pricing, policy, quotas/limits, and defaults on a large scale.
• Comfort in partnering with engineering teams on autoscaling, capacity planning, rolling deployments, placement logic, and resilience patterns.
• Proven experience in defining and managing SLOs/SLAs, as well as using metrics to inform product decisions and prioritization.
• Ability to align stakeholders across Engineering, Cloud Ops/SRE, Support, Sales, Solutions, and Security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear PRDs, decision documents, and customer-facing explanations.
• Nice to have: experience with multi-tenant systems, workload isolation, and mitigation of noisy-neighbor issues.
• Nice to have: familiarity with API product design for long-lived resource lifecycle operations.
• Nice to have: experience in placement, routing, data residency, or geo-distributed reliability.
• Nice to have: experience in developing pricing and packaging input for tiered services.
