Staff Product Manager, AI Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define and implement a long-term product strategy and roadmap for PathAI algorithm products within a significant business unit or disease domain.

• Conduct product investigations, develop business cases, articulate requirements, supervise prototyping, and spearhead cross-functional deployment of new AI products and product line extensions.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, clinical experts, product designers, and pathologists to transform algorithmic insights into scalable clinical and research tools.

• Create business cases for innovative technical, scientific, and platform capabilities.

• Work alongside Clinical Affairs, Quality, and Regulatory teams on validation strategies, including SaMD considerations, for clinical trials and regulatory pathways.

• Lead zero-to-one product initiatives and enhance existing algorithm portfolios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or a related technical/scientific discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in product management.

• Proven history of launching and scaling production AI/ML, data science, or bioinformatics products.

• Experience in driving product development within healthcare, life sciences, digital pathology, or biotech sectors.

• Knowledge of the comprehensive AI/ML product lifecycle, including model development, dataset curation, evaluation metrics, and post-launch algorithm monitoring.

• Outstanding skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication.

• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical, scientific, clinical, and executive teams.

• Preferred: experience with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and regulatory frameworks such as FDA 510(k)/PMA pathways and CE-IVD.

• Preferred: subject matter expertise or background in oncology, histopathology, or biomarker discovery.

• Preferred: experience in building products for translational research, biopharma partnerships, or clinical trial operations.

• Preferred: excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage evolving projects and priorities.
