Staff Product Designer, Conversational AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Drive product discovery by engaging with users, analyzing transcripts, reviewing analytics, and pinpointing areas of user disengagement.

• Establish design principles for both generative and declarative user interfaces, covering model composition, static elements, and recovery from erroneous assumptions.

• Launch the initial version on WhatsApp and outline how design patterns will adapt to native iOS and Android platforms.

• Determine the interplay of products within a unified framework, ensuring context continuity and user comprehension of Félix's financial actions.

• Provide cohesive cross-product guidance to design teams across Credit, Core Send, Activations, and other departments.

• Partner with legal and risk teams to integrate necessary disclosures and consent into the conversational user experience.

• Conduct research, develop prototypes, present ideas, and collaborate on concepts with product managers and runtime engineers.

• Operate in an asynchronous-first environment characterized by streamlined processes and quick decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in designing consumer products with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, including a minimum of two years in leading design for conversational or AI-driven products.

• Proven history of guiding product discovery across teams and translating insights into actionable directions.

• Practical experience with declarative user interfaces.

• Preferred experience with generative user interfaces (json-render.dev, A2UI).

• Capability to transition from pixel-perfect design to strategic planning.

• Extensive proficiency in Figma and comfort with prototyping in code.

• Experience shipping at least two mobile products from concept to completion.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Design, and Codex.

• Strong ability to navigate legal, risk, model behavior, and failure-state constraints.

• Openness to share work in progress and welcome early feedback.

• A portfolio link is required, showcasing at least one conversational or generative UI project with visible reasoning.

• Proficiency in Spanish, either native or near-native, is a plus.

• Additional experience in fintech, other regulated industries, WhatsApp Business Platform, or comparable messaging platforms is advantageous.

• Equivalent qualifications in the specified requirements will also be taken into account.
