Staff Process Engineer, Alkylation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HF and sulfuric acid alkylation technology.

• Create, sustain, and oversee unit performance indicators, benchmarking metrics, and technology health dashboards.

• Function as the corporate steward and technical authority for process safety standards related to HF and sulfuric acid alkylation.

• Own and manage corporate alkylation technology standards, operating envelopes, and guidance on critical process parameters.

• Offer technical consultation and troubleshooting assistance to refinery process engineers.

• Spearhead initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, environmental performance, and economic optimization of the alkylation unit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Over 15 years of experience in refining.

• More than 10 years of experience supporting alkylation technology.

• Proficient in the operation, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement of HF and sulfuric acid alkylation units.

• In-depth knowledge of alkylation reaction chemistry and process fundamentals.

• Skilled in using HYSYS and relevant process modeling software.

• Experience with startups, shutdowns, and turnarounds.

• Strong capabilities in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Familiarity with process safety management principles and regulatory requirements.
