Staff Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the technical roadmap for initiatives focused on platform infrastructure, reliability, and scalability.

• Design and evaluate intricate system architectures that facilitate company growth and adapt to changing business requirements.

• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and technical frameworks across various teams.

• Enhance system observability, incident response protocols, and operational excellence throughout the platform.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders to ensure that technical investments align with business objectives.

• Mentor engineers and offer technical guidance to elevate engineering competencies across the organization.

• Develop and refine backend services, infrastructure tools, and shared platform capabilities.

• Recognize technical debt, scalability challenges, and operational vulnerabilities before they impact business operations.

• Django Mastery – Profound knowledge in building, scaling, and modernizing production Django applications.

• Cloud Architecture – Expert-level experience in architecting and managing cloud environments within AWS.

• Systems Design – Proven capability to design resilient, secure, and scalable systems that accommodate substantial business growth.

• Database Leadership – Advanced understanding of Postgres architecture, performance enhancement, and data modeling.

• Operational Excellence – Experience in establishing observability, monitoring, incident management, and reliability practices.

• Technical Influence – Demonstrated success in steering engineering decisions and impacting technical direction across teams.

• Mentorship & Communication – Outstanding ability to articulate complex technical concepts and nurture the development of other engineers.
