Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.

• Reach out to physicians, prescribers, and patients to confirm prescription details and facilitate order processing.

• Advise patients on medication usage and potential interactions between drugs.

• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.

• Handle customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily standards for production, quality, and service.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business needs.

• Provide supervision and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Verify and authenticate the validity of controlled substances.

• Confirm prescription information entered by data entry or order entry personnel.

• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications when feasible.

• Serve as a backup for other pharmacists as required.

• Train pharmacists with less experience.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.

• A PharmD is preferred.

• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing is necessary.

• Advanced problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• A strong commitment to customer service, quality, and accuracy.

• Capability to manage timelines and meet tight deadlines set by clients.

• Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak periods.

• Must be a resident and hold a license in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Commitment to the specified training and future schedules is required.

• Access to cable broadband or fiber optic internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for remote work.
