Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and accurately process prescriptions following established workflow protocols.

• Provide counseling to patients regarding new therapies, ensuring they understand and feel comfortable with their medications.

• Monitor patient adherence and deliver ongoing consultations related to their medications.

• Conduct clinical verification to ensure prescriptions are safe, precise, and clinically suitable before dispensing. This role entails detailed review and assessment primarily through our computer systems, which requires extended periods of screen time.

• Maintain patient profiles and records while adhering to all privacy and regulatory standards in both provinces.

• Work collaboratively with a team of pharmacists, technicians, and other pharmacy personnel—both remotely and cross-functionally—to facilitate efficient daily operations.

• Ensure full compliance with regulations set forth by NAPRA, the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), and the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP).

• Flexibility to provide shift coverage on short notice is considered a valuable asset.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active dual licensure — Part A with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) **and** registration in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP).

• At least 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a mail-order or high-volume environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Kroll and general pharmacy IT systems.

• A reliable home internet connection and a private, quiet workspace suitable for managing confidential patient information.

• Precision in prescription preparation, labeling, and documentation is crucial.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently or as part of a distributed team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
