This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance the marketing data platform, which encompasses the BigQuery warehouse and dbt-based transformations.
• Create and manage ETL/ELT pipelines that connect various data sources.
• Design, develop, and implement applications and AI agents on Google Cloud.
• Build AI-driven tools that streamline Marketing and Product workflows, enabling automated self-service.
• Utilize AI to facilitate automation in data engineering tasks.
• Maintain Git-based version control, code review processes, semantic versioning, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Ensure data security and governance, which includes IAM, secret management, handling of PII, and BigQuery row/column-level security, along with AI guardrails.
• Work collaboratively with teams in Marketing, Finance, Sales, Marketing Operations, Data Analysts, and BI specialists.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies through root-cause analysis.
• Define the marketing technology and AI platform stack in alignment with strategic priorities.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks related to delivery, quality, stability, and performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in data architecture, AI application engineering, and marketing technology.
• Offer technical guidance and architectural expertise across various initiatives.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Over 5 years of data engineering experience, with a focus on software and/or AI application development.
• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering, including Git-based workflows, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Practical experience in deploying applications on Google Cloud, such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GKE.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization and infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform.
• Experience in building and deploying AI/LLM applications and agents, including Vertex AI, Agent Builder, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Proficient in API design, such as FastAPI, and assessing the reliability of AI systems.
• Expertise in SQL and Python programming languages.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing both batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines, along with API integration.
• Required experience with BigQuery and dbt.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse modeling concepts.
• Working knowledge of IAM/least-privilege principles, secret management, and handling of sensitive/PII data.
• Experience in cloud environments; GCP is preferred, while AWS/Azure experience is considered an asset.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Fivetran and various marketing software categories is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
• Must provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the country of application without sponsorship.
