Staff Implementation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Taking full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of 2-3 of our largest and most strategic customer implementations, which includes the building, testing, and go-live phases.

• Leading cross-functional resolution of issues that arise during implementations — converting customer-facing challenges into well-defined tickets, collaborating with Product and Engineering to identify root causes, and driving them to resolution even when responsibilities span multiple teams.

• Acting as a technical resource for the team's most complex problems, collaborating on escalations and intricate integration tasks across implementations. You excel at providing clarity in uncertain situations.

• Enhancing implementation efficiency across the team by pinpointing bottlenecks and repetitive tasks, then developing processes, tools, and standards that enable everyone to deliver more effectively.

• Sharing implementation insights back into the product — highlighting recurring pain points and feature gaps to Product and Engineering, and aiding in transforming implementation experiences into product features.

• Assisting in the development of teammates through mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Serving as a knowledgeable resource regarding Clutch's platform capabilities and design patterns across products (DAO, Lending, and beyond).

• Identifying opportunities for AI to enhance the capabilities of the implementation team and contributing to the development of AI-enabled workflows and standards the team adopts. Emphasizing a systems thinking approach to delivery in the AI era rather than resorting to one-off solutions.

• Clearly communicating plans, progress, and risks to both internal partners and senior customer stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in implementation, solutions/technical consulting, or a similar technical delivery role, preferably involving complex enterprise or SaaS implementations.

• A demonstrated history of managing complex, high-stakes technical delivery from architecture to go-live.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity — providing structure and a clear perspective on challenges that cross Implementation, Product, and Engineering domains, including situations where ownership is not yet established.

• Experience in converting customer-reported issues into actionable, well-defined tasks for product and engineering teams, and driving those tasks to resolution across different teams.

• Experience in fostering team growth — mentoring others, establishing technical standards, and developing tools or processes that others embrace.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with senior customer stakeholders and collaborating effectively across various functions.

• Ability to identify and communicate practical solutions to complex, ambiguous integration challenges.

• A background in Computer Science or equivalent strong technical training.

• Extensive experience integrating with web APIs; familiarity with modern web frameworks (React, Node.js, etc.).

• Proven capability to quickly learn new technologies and comprehend complex systems (APIs, databases, SDKs).

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding code in multiple programming languages; working knowledge of Python, JSON, GitHub, and the terminal, with JavaScript/TypeScript being a plus.

• A self-motivated individual who can navigate ambiguous, high-stakes problems and break them down into a clear path forward.

• Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple large external customers simultaneously.

• A passion for collaborating with people — you can articulate a complex technical issue in a way that is easily understandable.
